1963-1968 Ford Small Block, C4 Transmission Kickdown Conversion Kit for sm block V8s 2 or 4 Barrel Carbs

from 125.00

This kit is used to convert 1963 thru 1968 small block Ford cars over to a kickdown rod if they were built with the original bellcrank/cable arrangement that is no longer available and nearly impossible to find parts for.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

On 65-68 Mustangs and Cougars, if the original throttle linkage is still in place, a different rod is needed due to interference issues. The original throttle linkage runs low and across the firewall just over the bell housing. The rod pictured left hits this linkage. Select the “2 or 4” option so that we can send the correct rod for your car which is the rod on the right side above. The “2 or 4” option means that the right hand rod above is good for either a 2v or 4v application. No additional cost for this rod.

The carburetor must also have the kickdown lever installed on it. If you don't have that, you must get one from the carb manufacturer. The kit comes with the specially modified lever for 63-64 apps or a stock 69 C-4 lever for years ‘65-’68, the stainless steel kickdown rod and two "E" clips to retain the lever to the rod and to the carburetor kickdown lever. An adjustment procedure is also provided. As with all my rods, the bushings are permanently installed like the OEM's excepting the plastic material used for the bushings is superior to the nylon used by the OEM. Ours are made of Delrin.

Select for 2 Barrel or 4 Barrel CARB (dependant on what you have) when ordering a conversion kit for a 63-64 Small Block Ford car pictured on the left side. Good for Comet, Falcon, Fairlane or other Ford cars with small blocks in the ‘63-’64 year range

NOTE: If you are using a Holley 4 barrel carburetor and do not have the kickdown rod return spring kit that is needed, go to this link to pick up the spring kit.
