This kickdown rod is made of stainless steel and will remain elegant looking its entire life. The bushings are permanently installed just like the OEM bushings were except the plastic is superior to the nylon used by the OEM. That plastic is Delrin which has better lubricity. This rod will also fit the 428 in Full size Fords but is incorrect in appearance on the Mustang/Cougar 428 CJ. Please contact us BEFORE purchasing if you have an aftermarket high rise manifold installed or a carb spacer with a thickness greater than 1/4". There is a $15 surcharge to make a custom rod for these applications.

NOTE: If you are using a Holley carburetor and do not have the kickdown rod return spring kit that is needed, go to this link to pick up the spring kit.
