This kickdown rod is made of stainless steel and will remain elegant looking its entire life. The bushings are permanently installed just like the OEM bushings were except the plastic is superior to the nylon used by the OEM. That plastic is Delrin which has better lubricity. If you have an aftermarket high rise intake manifold or a carb spacer greater than 1/2" installed, you will need to select a custom rod when placing your order. There is a $15 surcharge to make a custom rod for these applications. This is a stock 2V application. PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU HAVE A 4 BARREL CARB! It qualifies as a custom rod build.
