1971-1973 Mustang, Cougar, Ranchero/Torino 351C, W FMX or C-4 2V/4V Transmission Kickdown Rod
This kickdown rod is made of stainless steel and will remain elegant looking its entire life. The bushings are permanently installed just like the OEM bushings were.
2V or 4V.
NOTE: If you are using a Holley carburetor and do not have the Kickdown Rod Return Spring Kit that is needed, go to this link to pick up the spring kit. Select YES for a custom rod if you have an aftermarket high rise intake manifold installed, a carb spacer 1” or greater or a 4 barrel carb. If you need a custom rod, please NOTE what it is about your application that makes it custom so I will know how to build the rod.
NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD.
EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.
All setups with an AVS2 Edelbrock carb will require a custom rod be built due to their kickdown design. Please tell us if you have one installed.
1400 Series Models do NOT require a custom rod, however, the 2V rod needs to be used for the 1400 Series Models. (NOT THE 4V ROD!).
