This kit is used to convert 1965 thru 1968 small block Ford cars over to a kickdown rod if they were built with the original bellcrank/cable arrangement that is no longer available and nearly impossible to find parts for.

NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD. EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.

The kit comes with a stock C-4 lever and a stainless steel kickdown rod with two "E" clips to retain the rod at each end. An adjustment procedure is also provided. As with all my rods, the bushings are permanently installed like the OEM's excepting the plastic material used for the bushings is superior to the nylon used by the OEM. Ours are made of Delrin.

NOTE: Cars or trucks with Quickfuel Carburetors- please contact us as a different transmission kickdown lever is required.

NOTE: A different transmission kickdown lever is required for cars with column shifts. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE A COLUMN SHIFT.
