1965-1968 Mustang Kickdown Rod Conversion Kit-All FE Engines 2V or 4V

This kickdown rod conversion kit is for a 65-68 Ford Mustang, or any Ford automobile with a 352, 390, 427 or 428 engine and a Cruisomatic or C-6 automatic transmission that does not already have a kickdown rod setup. Fits either 2V or 4V carb.

NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD. EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.

The kit replaces the bellcrank/short cable setup whose parts in part or total are impossible to find in good condition. The carburetor must have the kickdown lever installed.

NOTE: If you are using a Holley 4V carburetor and do not have the kickdown rod return spring kit that is needed. Click on this link if you want a spring kit.

If you have a high rise intake manifold or a carb spacer thicker than 1", the rod must be made custom for which there is an additional $25 surcharge. If you need a custom rod, please NOTE what it is about your application that makes it custom so I will know how to build the rod.

The provided transmission kickdown lever will replace the existing transmission kickdown lever.

The kit includes the kickdown rod, the transmission kickdown lever for the C-6 transmission and the "E" clips to retain the kickdownrod to the carb and transmission levers.

This rod is made of stainless steel and will remain elegant looking its entire life....It will not rust.
