This C-6 transmission dipstick is a custom reproduction made specifically for the 70 Mustang Cougar 428 CJ. The lettering is engraved rather than stamped and is more legible and easier to read than the stamped one. 22 inches long from tip to underside of cap.

This automatic transmission kickdown lever fits on early cruisomatic/C-6 transmission trucks and cars with column shift. It has a reverse offset on the connecting pin part of the lever for clearance from linkages/exhaust headers that may be desirable for any C-6 application needing that clearance. (offset faces inward towards transmission, pin faces out) The pin is placed at a 9:00-9:30 clock position as are all C-6 levers of this type for connecting the kickdown rod. it’s made of cold rolled steel and clear-coated for corrosion protection.

This newly created shift tab set for 64.5-68 Mustangs and some other small block Ford cars with the Toploader 4 speed transmissions consists of the 1-2 shift tab, C4ZR-7290-C (Z-90-C), the 3-4 shift tab, C4ZR-7285-C and the REV tab, C4ZR-7C165-A. These tabs were reproduced using original tabs as the templates and accurately laser cut to CAD specs. The laser cut edges as well a the hole edges are hardened by default to enhance longer life.

This is the very best quality bushing available anywhere. It is machined from polyurethane rod stock with a durometer rating of 95A. All other bushings available are cast and as such cannot obtain anywhere near the hardness rating of the machined bushing and will not last long because they are so soft. In most cases, the rating is less than 80A durometer. Harder material = longer life.

These trunnion connectors are billet machined from cold rolled steel (1018) rod. They are 1.322 inches total length with the smooth pin being .544” L X .375” OD with a .093” cotter pin hole. the threaded side is 5/16-18 thread and the nut is a flanged, serrated nut (not as shown) for excellent retention of the adjusted position of the shift rod. There is an anti-rotation flat machined into the connector to prevent it from turning in the slot during tightening or loosening. This is a hard to find, quality piece used on many manual transmission shift linkages for lots of different cars or trucks.

This bracket is designed for a dual throttle cable/kickdown cable that has two, 5/16" (8mm) end connection holes. The bracket was designed to fit up Lokar cables or similar for both the throttle and the transmission kickdown. They are made to accommodate a Fitech EFI unit mounted on a manifold whose rear bolt center distance is 5.125"+/-.125". It utilizes a drop center cross bar to clear the sensors that protrude out of the back of the EFI unit. It's made from 14 ga steel and primed and painted with Eastwood's Black Zinc Phosphate coating.
NOTE: Please use the dimensioned picture of the bracket to determine if it will fit your particular model of Fitech EFI unit as there are some versions that this bracket will not fit.

KICKDOWN RODS
This kit is used to convert 1965 thru 1968 small block Ford cars over to a kickdown rod if they were built with the original bellcrank/cable arrangement that is no longer available and nearly impossible to find parts for.
NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD.
EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.
All setups with an Edelbrock carb will require a custom rod be built due to their kickdown design. Please tell us if you have one installed.
Select YES if you have a highrise manifold or a carb spacer 1” or greater installed. A custom rod is required.
The kit comes with a stock C-4 lever and a stainless steel kickdown rod with two "E" clips to retain the rod at each end. An adjustment procedure is also provided. As with all my rods, the bushings are permanently installed like the OEM did them.

The kit replaces the bellcrank/short cable setup whose parts in part or total are impossible to find in good condition. The carburetor must have the kickdown lever installed.

This sale is for a NEW AOD Transmission TV Rod for a 1983-1985 Ford 5.0L or 351W Mustang and other Fords with this engine and transmission that utilize a TV rod (1983 -1985 year models) to maintain transmission operating pressure and initiate kickdown of the AOD transmission to the lower gear when "passing gear" is desired. Please select either 2V or 4V and read below carefully before ordering!

The TRANSMISSION lever that the TV rod comes with simply replaces the cable lever (if it was a cable version setup) completely and the trunnion adjustment to set the transmission pressure is easily accomplished when following the adjustment procedure that’s provided.
This setup is especially desirable for those who wish to convert to an AOD transmission but want to be rid of the complexities and unreliable nature of the cable version setups.
Instructions on setting/adjusting the TV pressure are included with the rod.
Full sized Fords and Mercurys will also apply if they have this engine, transmission and a 2 or 4 Barrel carb or the CFI /EFI unit.

Delrin bushings, both at the carb/CFI unit end and at the trunnion pivot, insure smooth and positive operation and are far superior in function/design to the spongy, snap in bushings of the stock OEM design that deteriorate and fall apart and can cause transmission failure due to transmission pressure NOT being held properly in adjustment by the TV rod/cable.

Reproduced from an NOS rod as a template so it IS correct for the application stated. This rod can only be used with a C-6 transmission. NOS part # is E3TZ-7A187-C. The 6.9L engine was used from '83-'87 at which time the engine was upgraded to the 7.3L and that was used thru 1994 year model.

These bumper-to-valance support brackets put any other aftermarket representation of the same part to shame. They're made of 14 gauge stainless steel and they are tough! Paint them flat black like the original was colored or leave them like they are....they will NOT rust and will support the bumper way better than even the originals did.

This engine dipstick tube is made of .035" wall stainless steel tube. The bolt tab is TIG welded to the tube for robustness. Leave it the elegant stainless steel look or paint it the Ford engine blue. Either way it will not rust and since the wall thickness is 25% thicker, it is hard to damage by denting. C7OZ-6754-A

These bushings were designed and machined by yours truly to be easily installed by the purchaser in his own garage or auto shop. They are made from the same material that I make the permanently installed bushings on the new rods that I make.....Delrin. I've also provided a simple, plastic stand-off bushing to assist in installing the new bushings into the rod ends. The new bushings can be tapped into position against a hard surface with a soft-faced hammer or pressed into place in a vice or light arbor press.
Installation instructions will be sent with each kit order for your convenience. Once the bushing is snapped into place, it is IN THERE! On my trial installation in my shop, I had to destroy the bushing to get it out of the rod!
The hole in the rod ends must be drilled or reamed out to .375" (3/8") and the flatted side (side it's being installed from) chamfered to assist the installation of the new bushing. The proper fitment and retaining of the bushing depends on this hole being THE CORRECT SIZE. The side opposite the flatted, installation side should have a square hole edge to allow the bushing to grab the rod tab firmly to prevent pullout.
There is a view of a rod end prepared for this shown above in the pictures. After installation of the bushing, the 1/4" hole must be carefully reamed out to .250" to assure it will fit on the lever pin on the carb and on the transmission lever.
The kit includes 2 snap-in bushings and the back-up, installation bushing as shown in picture above and 2 "E" clips.

This kickdown rod return spring kit contains a return spring bracket made of 16 ga 304 stainless steel, 2 ea grade 5, 1/4-20 x 3/4”L bolts to retain the bracket to the carburetor base, 1 302 SS return spring, 1ea 10-24 x1”L machine screw for adjusting the kickdown rod, 1ea 10-24 locknut and 1ea 10-24 no-slip clip on nut. This spring kit can also be used on the AOD TV rod if it is being attached to a Holley 4 barrel carb.
It is recommended that a drop of Loctite Blue be applied to the thread of each bolt that attaches the spring bracket to the carb base.
NOTE: The provided bolts will NOT fit with a QUIKFUEL CARBURETOR. 1/4-20 x 3/4”L SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREWS ARE REQUIRED FOR THAT MODEL CARB.
